It was just Vaughan, Sue and I on today's walk as Vaughan's wife Sue is still in Australia visiting her grandchildren. No major dramas except a lady with a green car keeps reappearing everywhere we went and we finally helped her with directions. As it happens, she was trying to find her walking group that was meeting at a car park and we later bumped into them in our walk. Spooky! All in all, a magic walk with my beloved group.

Sue suggested going to a cafe, so off we went to Bakewell which is only 10 minutes away from Youlgrave through the back roads and it was heaving as it's market day. I wasn't at all impressed with my breakfast and left part of it. Then, I had to go home as I had work waiting for me.

MapMyWalk App Stats: n/a
Time & Date: 5pm, Tuesday 11th October
SatNav: DE45 (Bakewell Park Tennis Courts)

Come and join us, Sue, Mirela, Charles and myself. However, due to poor weather, this week's tennis got postponed to Wednesday and Charles is on holiday in Great Yarmouth.

Oh, we now started playing actual match points instead of just goofing around. Much more fun and we also use the Youlgrave Tennis Courts.

UPDATE on HIGH ALTITUDE GARDENING in BIGGIN
My Little Honies, Sweet Corn
Time & Date: 2pm, Wednesday 12th October
SatNav: SK17

As you all know I have been nurturing, caressing, talking and loving my sweet corn since February this year, I am officially their mama. I was so nervous about placing them outside in July as I thought it would be like committing murder in this weather conditions. Look at them now and I have a total of 8 cobs to harvest and they are all mine!

I am so worried about them being outside in October that I sewed some plastic socks for them to keep em warm! Mad, I know ... love makes you do strange things!

Can you see the cob at the bottom of the picture. Isn't that just the finest thing you've ever seen! Gold dust ...
