Oh, special treats to be had on today's walk as we made a tour of all the well dressings and Peter spotted a couple of birds too, a Tree Creeper (Certhia Familiaris) and a Nuthatch (Sitta Europaea). The gardens and fields around Youlgrave are simply magical and I stopped several times to admire the flora. Think we spotted an Icelandic or Californian Poppy too but we weren't sure?
Considering the numerous times I've walked around Youlgrave, we discovered a glass artisan on Bradford Road. Really enjoyed it, hope you can join us the next time which would be Tuesday 12th July. If you would like to join us, please send me an email to malapapachan@gmail.com for details.

The bird was a Tree Creeper (certhia familiaris) and we saw a Nuthatch (Sitta europaea) on the same tree. I definitely saw lots of Welsh poppies (Meconopsis cambrica) on path sides. No idea what the very pretty orange ones hanging over the garden wall are.
